Looking Back at Fall

This Fall was pretty busy at the garden. The Green Team did an amazing job composting, tidying, and getting the garden ready for winter. 5th grade S.T.E.A.M had a harvest celebration, cooked butternut squash pancakes with squash from our garden, and dyed yarn with garden plants, and 4th grade S.T.E.A.M planted a three sisters garden, cooked native popcorn, dissected beans, and used science tools to observe pumpkins. We still have a lot of work to do over the winter building cold frames, new beds, and repairing our old ones, but, for now let's relax and enjoy these pictures of another fantastic season at the P.S. 14 Fairview Garden. *Our new background picture was taken by John Cardenas- 5th Grade Green Team member.
